Program file ROASDB (source of ROASDB.BA). This program operates in both M10x laptops and M200 laptops. ROASDB stands for Radio Orphan Annie's Secret Decoder Badge. Documentation of ROASDB usage is located in files ROASDB 1.TXT and ROASDB 2.TXT.

This document first provides historic background about Caesar ciphers and how they are related to the Radio Orphan Annie's Secret Decoder Badges. It then describes how kitchen-science cryptography with Tandy laptops is viable. It presents the technical particulars that are fundamental in capitalizing on the indestructible ROM-based Caesar ciphers that exist within Tandy laptops (citing relevant bits & pieces of BASIC program ROASDB.BA). Lastly, this document presents an example ciphertext along with its corresponding cleartext, and refers to URL [ http://www.radioarchives.org/annie/ ] where the humor of the example ciphertext is revealed by John Olsen's explanation of its use in the 1983 movie titled "A Christmas Story".
